He is also quite abusive towards the other weasels when they laugh at something funny. While he is very antagonistic in the film, he seems to care about the other members of the Toon Patrol, being the first one to warn them about what will happen to them if they do not control their laughter. Though very sarcastic and contemptuous fitting the definition of his name, Smartass is the straight-man of the group, possessing the most intelligence and self-control and the least "Toonish" attitude. He does not appear to have a smoking addiction like Wheezy, but he does occasionally smoke cigars, as shown in his first appearance. However, in the bar scene, he is shown threatening Eddie with a switchblade. He wears a buttoned-up light pink double-breasted zoot suit jacket with a gold chain in the left pocket, a white dress shirt with a hot pink bejeweled tie, matching hat, and spats on his feet. He has brown fur, sharp yellow teeth, and a black nose. Thank you.Smartass is ranked a sergeant by Judge Doom.
If you have any different guesses about and theories of Judge Doom's reasons and origin, please comment. And that's my theory of Judge Doom from 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit'. Maroon (who was possibly his own creator as well) for very certain reasons, and he also wanted to kill Toons and destroy Toon Town for very certain reasons as well! He also even wanted to kill both Eddie and Jessica as well for very certain reasons as well. He also killed Eddie Valiant's brother and then later R.K. Other than that, he also hated Toons, even though he was one himself (possibly because of Roger Rabbit). To finish off with his rival, Judge Doom disguised himself as a real-life human man being a judge so that no one could recognize him and get a chance to kill Roger by executing him in the Dip for his "crimes" so that he would finally be forgotten forever (and also possibly because he wanted to be a real-life human being and didn't want to be a Toon anymore because he hated Toons like himself). To kill Roger out of both hatred and jealousy, he killed Marvin Acme without anyone knowing nor seeing him doing that to him after finding the perfect way to frame Roger Rabbit after seeing Jessica Rabbit playing patty-cake with Marvin Acme so that everyone would think that Roger was a "jealous and evil love-rival" who "murdered" Marvin Acme for stealing Jessica away from him out of "jealousy".
So, Judge Doom was jealous that he planned to kill Roger Rabbit for surpassing him and being more popular than he once was, and developed a hatred for Roger as well. Everyone loved Roger Rabbit more than Judge Doom. But then, when Roger Rabbit got created and then starred in his very own cartoons, he had stolen Judge Doom's popularity and surpassed him. Before Roger Rabbit was created and then became a new cartoon superstar, Judge Doom was once a very loved and popular cartoon superstar who loved all the love and attention he used to have way before he disguised himself as a real-life human judge under the false name 'Judge Doom' (his real name was unknown).
